What We Believe

We believe the Bible, composed of the Tenach (Jewish Scriptures) and the Apostolic Writings of the New Covenant (Brith Chadasha), is the only infallible and authoritative Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Romans 15:4; 2 Peter 1:19-21; Hebrews 4:2; Ephesians 6:17

  • We believe that the Bible in its original text, from Genesis to Revelation, is the inspired, infallible, Word of God. It is the final authority in establishing all doctrinal truths and determining how God desires His people to live and worship (2 Timothy 3:16-17). *

  • We believe in the Creator of heaven and earth, who is eternally existent in the plural unity revealed in the Shema: “Hear O Israel, the LORD (Yahweh) our God (Elohim), is one (echad) LORD (Yahweh).” The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are united in God (Elohim). We believe that the name, Yahweh, derived from the Hebrew letters, Yod, Hey, Vav, Hey, is the covenantal name of the Holy One of Israel (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 11:1-2, Isaiah 61:1-3, Luke 4:18-21, John 17:21-24). *

  • We believe that Yeshua (Jesus) of Nazareth is the Messiah, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh), as foretold by the Prophets, was born of a virgin, and came to earth as God made manifest in the flesh. Yeshua our Messiah lived a sinless life, died as the atoning sacrifice for our sins, was resurrected from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the Father. Yeshua is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, who sits in the midst of the throne in heaven.  He was, and is, and is to come. His sacrifice allows His disciples to enter into the presence of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, with our praises, prayers, and petitions. Yeshua will return physically as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords to rule and reign over all the earth (Micah 5:2, 1 Timothy 3:16, Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:34, 1 John 4:10, 1 Corinthians 15:4, Mark 16:19, Zechariah 14, Acts 1:1-9, Revelation 6:5, Revelation 19:11-16). *

  • We believe the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh), indwells all Believers to lead, guide, teach, comfort and empower to live a righteous life. Messiah Yeshua promised the Comforter, who He described as the Spirit of Truth, would testify of Him and give power to His people to be His witnesses. This empowering of the Spirit (Ruach) is the same today, as it was in the day of Pentecost (Shavuot), as recorded in the Book of Acts. The infilling and gifts of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) are still available and operative in the lives of His redeemed precious saints. Gifts of the HaRuach HaKodesh word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, the gifts of healing, the working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, [divers] kinds of tongues, and the interpretation of tongues (1 Cor 12:1-11). The Spirit (Ruach) writes God’s law (Torah) on the hearts of His people to bring them to a place of loving obedience to the commandments of God (John 14:26, 2 Timothy 1:7, 1 Corinthians 14:26, 1 Corinthians 12:4-14, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:14-19, John 15:26-27, Ezekiel 36:26-28). *

  • We believe the Torah is the instructions of a loving and gracious Father to His children. It is the perfect law that gives liberty. The Torah was not given for salvation or to earn favor with God. Instead, it is the loving instruction of how a redeemed people should live. The Torah was given through Moses to the covenant community of Israel. This Torah is the same for the native born of Israel, as it is for those who sojourn among them. The Torah is to be written on the hearts of New Covenant Believers.  Honoring Torah is an act of love toward God and our fellow man.  Yeshua kept His Father’s commandments and lived in His love. We are to walk as He walked. We are to obey Yahweh’s commandments and to hold to the testimony of Yeshua (Joshua 22:5, Exodus 12:49, Jeremiah 31:31-33, Hebrews 8:8-10, James 1:25, 1 John 2:3-6, 1 John 3:24, 1 John 5:3).*

  • In order to be saved one must first understand that he has broken God’s perfect law and is condemned because of his sin to eternal destruction away from the presence of almighty God (Duet 11:28, Rom 6:23). He must then accept the blood of Yeshua/Jesus over the door posts of his heart and believe that outside the death, burial, and resurrection of Yeshua there is no way for salvation. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is by grace, through faith in the shed sacrificial blood of the Lamb of God, Yeshua HaMashiach, and that regeneration by the Spirit of God is absolutely essential for personal salvation. Leviticus 17:11; Ephesians 2:8; Romans 1:17; Habakkuk 2:4; John 3:3; Hebrews 11:6; Genesis 15:6 (** PFT and ***MJBI)

  • The sacrificial system was created for the purpose of temporarily averting God’s wrath away from His people and their sin as well as providing a prophetic symbol for what the coming Messiah would complete (Heb 9:1-9). We believe that the Torah (five books of Moses) is a comprehensive summary of God's foundational laws and ways, as found in both the Tanakh and Apostolic Scriptures (Ex. 19 & 20; Deut. 5; Jer. 31:31-34; Matt. 5:17-19; Matt. 28:18-20; I Cor. 7:19; II Tim. 3:15-16; Heb. 8:10; Rev. 14:12).***(MJBI)

  • We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation (Heb. 12:14; I Thess. 5:23; II Peter 3:18; Phil. 3:12-14; I Cor. 1:30; Rev. 14:12). Therefore we encourage all believers, both Jews and Gentiles, to affirm, embrace, and practice these foundational laws and ways as clarified through the teachings of Messiah Yeshua (Matt. 5:17-19; Matt. 11:28-30). What God destroyed on the cross was the penalty that the Law of God demanded as payment for breaking it. We are no longer under the law of sin and death but are under grace as Paul says in Romans 6:14. (***MJBI)

  • At the point of conversion it is the responsibility of the believer to submit himself to the teachings of his new “Rabbi Yeshua,” to be baptized (immersed) into His name, and to follow Him all the days of His life (Luke 9:23, 1 Cor 9:24).(**PFT)

  • Through His death, Yeshua took over the High priesthood, and because of His perfect blood sacrifice, His Father would be forever satisfied and man would now always have the ability to come into the presence of Almighty Yahweh (Heb 9:11-12) through the blood of the Lamb.**(PFT)

  • New Covenant Body We believe the New Covenant body of the Lord is composed of both Jews and Gentiles who have accepted Yeshua HaMashiach as the promised Redeemer and that now they are to worship together in the House of God. 1 Corinthians 12:13; Hebrews 10:25; Ephesians 3:6,10-12. We believe the middle wall of partition which in times past separated Jews and Gentiles has been broken down, the enmity between them eradicated by the Messiah Yeshua. Ephesians 2:12-24; Acts 10:34. (**MJBI)

  • Jewish Followers of Yeshua-  We believe the Jews according to the flesh (descendants of Abraham through Isaac, whether through the blood line of the mother or the father) who place their faith in Israel’s Messiah Yeshua have not disowned or separated themselves from their race and Judaic heritage, but remain sons and daughters of Israel. Gentiles who place their faith in Israel’s Messiah Yeshua are also, spiritually, sons and daughters of Israel. Galatians 3:28-29; Romans 2:28-29; Genesis 15:6. (**MJBI)

  • We believe that when a Jew or non-Jew puts his trust in Yeshua as Messiah, they are grafted (or re-grafted) into the olive tree of Israel, by faith. Faith in Israel’s Messiah Yeshua makes one a member in the commonwealth of Israel. Our Father, Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. If we are in Messiah, we are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the Promise (Romans 11:17-27, John 8:33-39, Ephesians 2:11-19, Galatians 3:29). *(MCC)

  • We believe that as Jewish followers of Yeshua, we are called to maintain our Jewish biblical heritage with focus and emphesis on God's word not doctrines or traditions of men; we remain part of our Jewish people leading by Biblical example as the universal body of believers. This is part of our identity and a witness to the faithfulness of God. Romans 3:1-4; 1 Corinthians 7:17-20; Acts 21:20-24. ***MJBI

  • We believe the family is the basic unit of the community of faith founded through the uniting of one man to one woman in holy matrimony. From the beginning, marriage is depicted and described as one man married to one woman, in the uniting of Adam and Eve. This Biblical depiction and description is confirmed by Yeshua and His Bride. The family unit is the basis of Biblical nurture. The Torah commandments are to be taught diligently to our children as we walk by the way and as we lie down. These commandments, written on our hearts, are the basis of the Spirit of Elijah that is being restored in our day (Genesis 2:24 2 Corinthians 11:2, Ephesians 5:31-33, Ephesians 6:4, Deuteronomy. 6:7, Malachi 4:4-6).1(MCC)

  • We believe that the weekly Sabbath and annual Feasts of the Lord (Yahweh) are “statutes forever” and should be celebrated by the body of faith represented by Believers in Yeshua. The feasts of the LORD, or moedim, are appointments for the Bride to meet with her Husband to learn more of Him and His Kingdom to come.  We long for the day when His Kingdom is restored to Israel and His will is done on earth as it is in heaven (Leviticus 23, Zechariah 14:16-19, Matthew 6:10, Acts 1:6, Revelation 22:17).*(MCC)

  • We believe we are to be One (Echad) in Messiah. This oneness is fueled by actions of love. We are to live in the Father’s love and abide in Messiah Yeshua. This will demonstrate to a lost and dying world that we are One (Echad). We must live in His love to live out the testimony of Yeshua. If we keep His commandments we shall abide in His love; even as He has kept His Father's commandments and abides in His love (John 13:34-35, John 15: 10-17, John 17:11, Philippians 2:2, Galatians 5:14, Revelation 12:17). *(MCC)

  • We believe someday, our Messiah will come back to Earth to redeem all those that are His, those that have been grafted into the commonwealth of Israel (Rom 11, Eph 2). Then He will reign from the New Jerusalem for 1000 years (1 Thes 3:13, Rev 20:4). *(MCC)

  • After that period, God will raise up the rest of the dead, and the entire Earth will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment (Rev 20:5).

  • All those that do not have their names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be thrown into the Lake of Fire, and God’s enemies will be no more (Rev 20:11-12).

  • Until then, we are to remain faithful to the work to which He has called us, which is to “Love the Lord God with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27).

  • We believe our best most accurate response to God's love is being obedient to by studying is Word and walk out his Word by becoming the  His living  word to others. We do this by taking up our cross and following him daily which is laying down our life for his name sake, THIS IS LOVING THE LORD WITH YOUR WHOLE HEART AND YOUR NEIGBORS AS YOURSELF!
