Are The 10 Commandments are applicable for today, Jesus tells us in John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Many agree that the 10 Commandments still stand, but many also diminish some of the 10 Commandments. Is this scriptural? What does Jesus say about this? In the "latter days" it is only those who keep HIS commandments and have a testimony of Jesus that the Dragon/Satan will wage war against! The commandments still stand, lets take a peek at how we are to NOT diminish the least of the commandments!
What does Jesus teach us about the commandments? Mar 10:19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Donot bear false witness, Defraud not, Honor thy father and mother.
When Jesus was talking to Nicodemus he took it one step further and added an additional side note to keeping the commandments by saying this, Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. Mark 10:21 & 29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, o rlands, for my sake, and the gospel's.
Jesus kept the commandments!
We know that Jesus was without spot or blame and that He kept thecommandments, he was obedient to His Heavenly Father who required this of hispeople; Lev 22:31 Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I [am]the LORD.
To love Jesus is to keep his commandments.
It is pretty simple and clear, if Jesus kept the commandments, he requires the same of us, he tells us if we truly love him we will keep The Commandments,he says he will LOVE us if we keep the Commandments, which are His FathersCommandments, but also His Commandments.
Jhn 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him-
Jhn 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as Ihave kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
Knowing Him is keeping is Commandments
How do we know that we love him? He tells us in John that we KNOW HIM, ifwe keep His commandments. Which tells us that if we do not keep his commandments that we do not love him, or know him.
1 Jo 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
Jesus puts relevance on ALL of the Commandments!!!
Jesus does not just confirm that keeping his commandments is knowing him and loving him, but keeping the commandment and teaching then to men! And in teaching these commandments to men WE ARE NOT TO BREAK OR DIMINISH THE LEAST OFTHESE COMMANDMENTS! He clearly states in this passage that not only are the commandments not to be broken, but they are not to be minimized... even if they are the least of the commandments.
Those who teach men to break or to water-down, minimize diminish the commandments will become the LEAST in thekingdom, whoever teaches them, ALL of them, not their favorites, not the ones that are the most convenient, not the ones that work well with their schedule,or the commandments that work well with their culture or traditions but man/teachers are to teach and keep all of the commandments, holding andesteeming everyone of his commandments, and regarding with much reverence everyword of his commandments. Who is man to take out or not regard every word? That man will be the least in HIS Kingdom.... HE (Jesus) says!
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Not to add unto the word, or to diminish the word!
Deut 4:2Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shallye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD yourGod which I command you.
Our Joy will be made full by Keeping His commandments
15:11 . These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain inyou, and [that] your joy might be full (JOY MADE FULL IN KEEPING COMMANDMENTS!)A promise!
If we know HIm we will keep his commandments, if we do not keep them and say that we know him we are liars and the truth is not in us!
1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is aliar, and the truth is not in him.
He is the way, the truth, he istelling us that he is not in us if we do not keep his commandments, again thispassage is in agreement with Jhn 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shallabide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide inhis love.
A promise received in asking because we keep his commandments!
1Jo 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
He dwells in those who keeps HIS commandments
1Jo 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he inhim. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hathgiven us.
We know we are his children and love him when we keep his commandments. 1Jo 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, andkeep his commandments.
God loves us so much that he wants us to keep his commandments, for our own good!
1Jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and hiscommandments are not grievous.
From the beginning he has shown us how to love, to walk in his commandments. 2Jo 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is thecommandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
IN THE LATTER DAYS- THE DRAGON MAKES WAR WITH THOSE WHO KEEP THE COMMANDMENT AND TESTIMONY OF JESUS. Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make warwith the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. The dragon/Satan makes war with the saints THOSE WHO HAVE A TESTIMONY OF JESUS AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS!
Keeping the commandment is KEY during the Tribulation too! The dragon will make war with them.
Note: SAINTS? (After the Bride is caught up to heaven and those who remainwhich will be new converts or those in the 7 churches that did not meet the criteria at his coming..... but do eventually meet the criteria by Keeping his commandments and having a testimony of Jesus.)

Our hearts our to keep his commandments, not just outward, but inward!Jesus confirms this scripture 2000 years latter!
Pro 3:1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep mycommandments:
Jesus speaks of the commandment in the heart! Mark 7 19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purgingall meats? 20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth theman.21For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,22Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:23 All these evilthings come from within, and defile the man.

The Ten Commandants are applicable for us today because His son, Jesus kept the commandments, he command us to do so as well. He tells us if we love himand know him, delight and peruse His commandments, then he will abide in us, wewill be great in his kingdom and eat from the tree of life!
MY NOTES
In Deut 4 the latter days and Tribulation is mentioned:29But if from thencethou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him withall thy heart and with all thy soul.30When thou art in tribulation, and allthese things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to theLORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
The commandments proceed this particular verse! (see below scripture)
Deuteronomy 4
1Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess theland which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
2Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall yediminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your Godwhich I command you.
3Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baalpeor: for all the menthat followed Baalpeor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you.
4But ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every one of youthis day.
5Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my Godcommanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
6Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understandingin the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say,Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
7For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as theLORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
8And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments sorighteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
9Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forgetthe things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart allthe days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;
10Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make themhear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall liveupon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
11And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burnedwith fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.
12And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard thevoice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.
13And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even Ten Commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.
14And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes andjudgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.
15Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner ofsimilitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst ofthe fire:
16Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitudeof any figure, the likeness of male or female,
17The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of anywinged fowl that flieth in the air,
18The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness ofany fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:
19And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest thesun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest bedriven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath dividedunto all nations under the whole heaven.
20But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the ironfurnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye arethis day.
21Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that Ishould not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance:
22But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall goover, and possess that good land.
23Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD yourGod, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness ofany thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.
24For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
25When thou shalt beget children, and children's children, and ye shallhave remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a gravenimage, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the LORDthy God, to provoke him to anger:
26I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shallsoon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possessit; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
27And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be leftfew in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
28And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
29But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him,if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
30When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee,even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt beobedient unto his voice;
