Rapture and Latter Rain - The Two Go Hand in Hand

Many misunderstand what MUST take place with the rapture the catching away, Just as the rapture takes place, the latter rain WILL be poured out. The two events go hand in hand! There fore, there is more then just the rapture that occurs; the first thing that happens is the dead in Christ will rise, followed by bride being caught up to him and meet him in the air. 1 Thess. 4:16-17. Most do not know this, but there is a second event that ALSO must happen when HE comes, the Latter rain will be poured out. Hosea 6: 3 He shall come to us in the “latter rain”. The latter rain in Hebrew is the Spring- March or April rain. Hosea 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. This verse along with many other verses on the latter rain support the time of His coming in the Feast of Weeks, and even Month 1 (March April)

Joel 2:23. When He comes he will bring rain, the bride will be caught up and the union of the bride and groom will pour forth the shower of the latter rain. The latter rain falls in the Feast of Weeks, it is a SPRING event! The latter rain MUST be poured out, the shower and the rain that comes with HIS coming WATERS THE SEED, WHICH MUST CAUSE AND BRING FORTH THE GROWTH (spiritual growth) FOR THE HARVEST TO COME, which is the wheat harvest the summer harvest . The harvest that is reaped in Rev. 14:14 is a summer harvest that will be reaped (reaped comes Hebrew root word -summer).

The latter rain is a HUGE PART of HIS COMING, it is necessary to be poured out with his coming, the latter rain will water the seed and cause it to grow and prepare it for the harvest. This is why the catching away/rapture is the 2nd. Part of His Coming! God gives us the natural physical world examples to HELP us understand HIS coming; the spring is when things start to spring forth and grow, so HIS coming brings the Latter rain (spring rain, March April rain). He would not cause the new harvest to bring forth new growth in the fall when the cold of winter would bring it to its death. Understand the necessity of the latter rain coming in the spring, as opposed to any of the other seasons, any other time or season would simply go against his principals set in the seasons established in Genesis 1:14

The rain that was poured forth in Acts, in the " Upper room" is moderate compared to the latter rain that is to come with HIS COMING. In other words, the outpouring that HIS disciples and followers experienced was very moderate compared to what will come, the LATTER RAIN WILL SHAKE THE WORLD! This is why we see so many people being saved and coming to him in the tribulation and so many martyred for HIS name sake, they willingly go to their death! It will be much worse then what the early Christians experienced. Certainly those who will go through the tribulation will need the outpouring of the latter rain which will sustain them in ALL circumstances!! AMEN!

The latter rain will be poured out for a season... and then it WILL CEASE.. *Songs confirms the rain is over, For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over [and] gone; Songs 2:11. The rain could last for 40 days, Jesus walked the Earth appearing to many for a period of 40 day, the bride should follow that pattern. The first time rain is mentioned in the scriptures is in Gen 7:12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. Perhaps the Latter rain will be poured out for this period of time, again... the scripture is Songs confirms the time of the rain stopping after the winter is past, and new growth appears. And let us not forget in both Genesis 7:12 with the rain also came judgement upon all humanity, Noah and his family were spared. In Songs darkness follows after the rain is over,Until the day break, and the shadows/ darkness (darkness from Hebrew root word Stongs -H6751) flee away, turn, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether. Songs 2:17 **(see my personal note at the bottom of this study regarding Songs, Genesis and Noah). The latter rain WILL BE POURED OUT FOR A PERIOD OF TIME, when considering HIS coming one must allow for the time of the outpouring of the LATTER RAIN to water the seed... what possibly could be a period of 40 days; this time period must fit within the criteria mentioned in the "latter rain" scriptures.

In Ezekiel 34 you will see the transition from the false shepherds, to the leading and teaching of the sheep and the shower that come in HIS SEASON and be shower of blessing! And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. Ez. 34: 26

The word request that we ask for the rain at the time of the latter rain; Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; [so] the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. Zec. 10:1 The Lord shall make bright clouds which means in Hebrew- lightning thunderbolt, lightning flash, lightning, storm, cloud (Strongs #2385). Notice the promise of growth to everyone grass in the field!

The lightning thunderbolt mentioned in the above Scripture, Zec 10:1 , does it sounds familiar? For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Mathew 24:27. and shall come in the clouds....Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. Clearly when HE comes he will be accompanied by the Clouds, the bright clouds/lightning and rain will come and "WILL GIVE THEM SHOWERS OF RAIN".

Another verse to ponder: In the light of the king's countenance [is] life; and his favour [is] as a cloud of the latter rain. Proverbs 16:15

Concluding, HIS coming is appointed before the foundations of the Earth, HIS coming is appointed to the weeks of the Harvest, the Feast of Weeks, His coming, will bring the former rain, and the latter rain. His coming for the bride, will usher in the latter rain and water the seed and bring it up into maturity for the final harvest!

Until HE comes, we will wait, and occupy. I suppose this particular latter rain scripture best fits the Bride of Christ for now: And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide [as] for the latter rain. Job 29:23.... Come Lord Jesus, Come. - Lora
